The First Pic in The Panel

I am what could be,
I am what could be.
I wonder why I'm not what I
Dreamed I could be, but
I am what could be,
I am what could be!

No more. No less. No want.
No need. No can. No can't.
No sin. No taunt.
No uncle. No aunt.

I'm the first pic in the panel,
Yeah, I am the first pic in the panel.
It may be the last panel to be seen,
Or maybe the panel has never been!
Yet, I trust them when they say that
I am the first pic in the panel!

No more. No less. No want.
No need. No can. No can't.
No sin. No taunt.
No twists, no turns.
No rubs, no burns.
That's destiny!

I am what could be,
I am what could be.
I wonder why I'm not what I
Dreamed I could be, but
I am what could be,
I am what could be!

[Slow, almost intoxicated drag]
I am the first pic in the panel...
I am the first pic in the panel...
A panel that never was.

-- Pradeep K (Prady)

The Room That Forgot Me

[Intro - 16 bar electric guitar Arpeggios in E-minor]

[Verse 1]
I lived in a room that forgot my name
The walls spoke mildew, the fan spun shame
Light came in like a guest uninvited
Left behind stories I never recited

[Solo - 16 bar. Slide guitar, weeping bends]

[Chorus]
The room that forgot me still knows how I breathe
It hums in my silence, it sings when I leave
I write on the windows, I sleep with the past
But nothing I whisper is meant to last

[Verse 2]
My bed was a raft in a flood of old prayers
Ghosts brushed my hair with forgotten cares
They spoke in a tongue I almost knew
Like lullabies sung by someone I once knew

[Bridge]
The mirror cracked but kept on lying
Showed me a face that was always trying
I wore my silence like ceremonial thread
Stitched by rituals I never said

[Solo - 32 bar. Slide guitar, weeping bends, minor pentatonic riffs]

[Verse 3]
Outside, the monsoon rehearsed its grief
Inside, I bartered my truths for relief
I wrote poems on fogged-up glass
Knowing they'd vanish before anyone asked

[Chorus]
The room that forgot me still knows how I breathe
It hums in my silence, it sings when I leave
I write on the windows, I sleep with the past
But nothing I whisper is meant to last

[Solo - 16 bar. Slide guitar, weeping bends]

[Outro – Spoken softly or sung falsetto]
And still—
I stayed.
Not for comfort.
But to prove I could.
To prove I could.

[Solo - 16 bar. Slide guitar, weeping bends, slowly fading]

The Sheriff of Shadows

[Intro - 8 bars of slide guitar to set the mood]

[Verse 1]
I met a man in a mirror crack,
Said he knew my past by heart.
He wore a badge made of broken clocks,
And claimed he could read my scars.

[Prechorus]
He said, “Boy, you’re haunted by choices you made
In dreams you don’t recall.
But I’ve got a map of your midnight mind—
It’s scribbled on confession halls.”

[Solo - Slide guitar—slow, eerie, with bends that mimic the Sheriff’s creeping presence]

[Chorus]
So I tipped my hat to the Sheriff of Shadows,
Paid him in secrets and sighs.
He rides a horse named Déjà Vu
And arrests thoughts that lie.
He’s got cuffs for your conscience,
And boots full of blame—
But he’ll let you go easy
If you forget your name.

[Solo - Fingerpicked acoustic guitar with subtle dobro accents—reflective, slightly dissonant]

[Verse 2]
He told me shame’s just a ghost in drag,
Wearing ambition’s clothes.
And guilt’s a preacher with a crooked smile
Selling half-priced souls.

[Prechorus]
He said, “Truth ain’t clean, it’s just well-dressed;
It wears a tie made of tangled facts,
And dreams are debts unpaid.
You want peace? Try amnesia—
It’s cheaper than being brave.”

[Bridge]
Now I hear him whistling through my vents,
Smells like old regret and cheap sin.
He’s got a warrant for my better self,
But I won’t let him in.

[Solo - Harmonica layered with a low slide guitar—ghostly and unresolved]

[Chorus]
So I tipped my hat to the Sheriff of Shadows,
Paid him in secrets and sighs.
He rides a horse named Déjà Vu
And arrests thoughts that lie.
He’s got cuffs for your conscience,
And boots full of blame—
But he’ll let you go easy
If you forget your name.

[Outro]
If he’s tailing the trail of your regrets,
Don’t stall, don’t spark the shame.
Just hum this hymn and roll on past—
He only arrests those who claim the blame.

[8 bars of slide guitar slowly fading away]

Fragile by Design

[Intro (English)]
They called me fragile,
Like it was a flaw!
But I was built to bend
Not break

[Ambient guitar arpeggio (fingerpicked, slightly syncopated)]

[Verse 1 (Hindi)]
Toota hoon, magar tarasha gaya
Har dard se kuch seekha gaya.
Naazuk tha, par jaan bujh ke
Kyunki har zakhm mein roshni thi

[Flute solo - soul exhaling]

[Chorus (Mixed)]
Fragile by design, fragile by design!
Not weak, just woven with care!
Naazuk hoon, par sachcha
Maut se bhi gehra.

[Percussive vocal rhythm, over light congas]
Daba ri ba room... badakka boom...
Hey! Hey! Hey! Hey!
Fragile by design... Tacha, tacha...
Tacha... tacha... Fragile by design...!

[Guitar arpeggio + Flute echo]

[Verse 2 (English)]
I cracked where the pressure lived
But the cracks let the light in
I didn’t shatter—I shimmered
I didn’t fall—I folded into myself

[Bridge (Hindi)]
Jo bikhra, woh mita nahi
Jo roya, woh jiya gaya!
Naazuk hone ka matlab tha
Zinda rehna har haal mein tha!

[Percussive vocal rhythm, over light congas]
Lampa tika lamba tamtam...
Lampa tika lamba tamtam...
Tadikita thom, tadikita thom....
Lampa tika lamba tamtam...!

[Flute solo, layered with soft percussion (Latin congas or Goan rhythm)]

[Outro (English) ]
They called me fragile
But I was never afraid to feel
I was built to break
And still be beautiful

[Final flute solo fading into ambient textures]

Moonlight Audit

[Musical intro - saxophone solo, ending on G#]

[Intro - English]
The moon doesn’t ask questions.
It just shines on the pages I’ve hidden.
Tonight challenges my truth.
Tonight, I audit my silences.

[Verse 1 - English]
I said “I’m fine” when I wasn’t.
I laughed when I should’ve screamed.
I let them name me, frame me, tame me.
And I signed every dotted line.

[Chorus - Hindi]
Chand ki roshni mein hisaab hua
Har khamoshi ka jawab hua
Jo khud se nazar churayi thi
Woh roshni ne dikhayi thi

[Saxophone solo, ending on G#]

[Verse 2 - English]
I had traded truth for peace.
I wore pride like perfume—strong, but fleeting.
I let shame settle like dust
Until it became part of my lies.

[Chorus - Hindi]
Chand ki roshni mein hisaab hua
Har khamoshi ka jawab hua
Jo khud se nazar churayi thi
Woh roshni ne dikhayi thi

[Saxophone solo, ending on G#]

[Bridge - mixed]
This ledger has no totals.
Just entries—some bleeding, some fading.
Gunah likhe na gaye thay,
Per mehsoos karaaye gaye!

[Outro - mixed]
All those secrets I hid in shadows,
The moonlight blew them open.
Hisaab ab bhi adhoora hai,
Per roshni tho poori hai!

[Saxophone solo, ending on G#]

Style:

The Roads Burned Anyway

[Intro]
We borrowed stars to light our way,
But forgot—
They were never ours to keep.
Chingari thi, magar bekaabu,
Aur raaste jal hi gaye.

[Verse 1]
I wore my dreams like hand-me-downs,
Too stitched to breathe, too torn to flaunt.
They said, “Be loud, be gold, be seen,”
But I was busy folding silence into seams.
Kapdon jaise sapne thay,
Bus silvatein meri thi.

[Chorus]
Burn the map, let the sky mislead,
Mitti se likhe hain raaste,
Kya farq padta hai speed?
No gods, no guides, just this fragile pride,
Jo toot ke bhi keh jaaye:
Main zinda hoon, I tried.

[Verse 2]
I kissed ambition on a Monday night,
She tasted like caffeine and unfinished fights.
I asked her, “Will you stay?”
She said, “Only if you forget your name.”
Paane se pehle, khona zaroori tha,
Manzil se zyada, bhatakna zaroori tha.

[Chorus]
Burn the map, let the sky mislead,
Mitti se likhe hain raaste,
Kya farq padta hai speed?
No gods, no guides, just this fragile pride,
Jo toot ke bhi keh jaaye:
Main zinda hoon, I tried.

[Verse 3]
I built a home in borrowed time,
Hung my shame like wind chimes.
Every gust sang a different name,
But none of them stayed long,
Not long enough to blame.
Naam badalte rahe,
Par haqueekat wahi thi.

[Chorus]
Burn the map, let the sky mislead,
Mitti se likhe hain raaste,
Kya farq padta hai speed?
No gods, no guides, just this fragile pride,
Jo toot ke bhi keh jaaye:
Main zinda hoon, I tried.

[Bridge]
If I fall, let it echo.
If I rise, let it crack.
Girne mein bhi ek geet tha,
Utthne mein ek sawaal.

[Outro]
We borrowed stars to light our way,
And called it fate.
Raaste jal tho gaye,
Par main chalta raha.

-- Pradeep K (Prady)

Style:
Soft rock with ambient textures, minimal percussion, sweet guitar, not overpowering the vocals. Warm, breathy baritone vocal with a confessional tone. Let the pauses speak as much as the words. Guitar arpeggio breaks between verses for emotional depth.

Teri Ummeend

Teri ummeend, teri ummeend!
Ooohhhooo teri ummeend...
Teri ummeend, teri ummeend!

Teri ummeend, teri ummeend
Humein zindaa rakkhi hui hai.
Varna hum kisi kaam ke na thay!

Jab talak tu saath... Saath... Saath...
Jab talak tu saath thi,
Nazaron se hoti baath thi,
Kissie ka hota vaar bhie tho,
Hum sambhal jathe!

Jab se tu ne moondi... Moondi... Aankhen...
Jab se tu ne moondi hai aankhen
Andhera sa chaa gaya hai.
Na jaanoon kaise maan loon,
Kaise himmat juta loon.

Teri ummeend, teri ummeend
Humein zindaa rakkhi hui hai.
Varna hum kisi kaam ke na thay!

Zindagi jo poochthi mujhse
Kya matlab hai jeene ka...
Zindagi jo poochthi mujhse
Kya matlab hai jeene ka...
Tera chehra hi mera jawaab hota!

Jab se hai chhaaya andhera,
Jab se hai bhaaga savera...
Tab se choota hai tera sath,
Tab se hai phooti meri kismat...
Aur tab se... sirf ummeend bachi hai.

Teri ummeend, teri ummeend!
Ooohhhooo teri ummeend...
Teri ummeend, teri ummeend!

Teri ummeend, teri ummeend
Humein zindaa rakkhi hui hai.
Varna hum kisi kaam ke na thay!
