Crescent Moon

There was a time in the annals of history
When you knew me not, and I knew not your story.
That changed fast, too fast, if you ask me;
And soon one day you thought that you knew me!
All of me; you thought you knew all of me!
And, then, I wonder why you wanted to change me!

There came a time when you began to sing
And hoped I would dance to your rhythm's ring.
I agreed fast, though I found your notes too jarring;
Though your song stung my ears, you found me dancing!
I had no practice, and yet I was actually dancing!
I'd be a puppet, you thought, and you'd pull the string!

I had carried on well after the last mishap
Letting myself not fall into that lonely gap.
Indeed, I felt something amiss on the map;
Until you came to my doors with a gentle tap!
And, all of a sudden, you made me want to rap!
A lover of Beethoven suddenly wanted to rap!

I've told you my past, and of its little dent;
Of a damsel in distress who had taken my heart on rent.
But you still hide from me your very shady present;
A full moon that's worse than a moon crescent!
And you wish, in my heart, to pitch your own tent!
I'm waiting to hear from you only one word of commitment!

Silently it tries to kill me, bit by bit;
To wait for a signal is to take a big hit.
As you say, you can't rest where I can sit;
And where you like to lounge, you say I do not fit!
You have time, which I don't to my own credit!
All I ask is that you come forth and commit!

One way or the other you should decide;
Either way, in me you could confide.
If you really know me, you have nothing to hide;
If not, then tell me as a friend, without your pride!
Could I be your groom; would you be my bride?
If not, consider that all your love just died!

Prady, Very Good post after a long time.

The post is prosaic matter but poetically put down. The words rhyme. But not much music man!!??!! The length of sentences are also restricted.

Anger and hate are powerful emotions, as strong as love. Your post reaffirms them. They can also make one creative.

But i totally disagree that love for someone can die. This is my opinion. But it can rest.
Love is not so tricky a thing... one can always unhitch oneself from it. You know there is always a "TO-BE" in every connection. It is applicable for your present and future too. These days soon-to-be-ex is nothing new. It happens more than often out there.

You have felt a burst of energy, and a weight off your chest that allowed your heart to pump more freely and strongly than it has in a while. Keep writing. You already know that you are the best!

Hi Pradeep

We at Onion Insights (onioninsights.blogspot.com) are always happy to come across bloggers like you. We are also glad to inform you that your writing skills can now be put to good use and you can make some extra money too.

Get paid to shop, dine and report and make some extra money using your writing and observation skills. The concept is pretty simple. Top retail chains, five star properties and fast food chains in India hire our services to get their stores evaluated through the eyes of a normal customer. We are looking for people in Mangalore who frequently visit these outlets and write well.

Every week there are a certain number of reviews in your city. Based on your availability and interest, you can choose to perform a review for us. You visit the outlet and notice what’s going on. You then go to our website and fill in a report which has a questionnaire and comment boxes to help you document your observations.

Within 15-20 days you will be paid a pre determined shopper fee which will include an reimbursement for any amount spent in the store plus an additional shopper fee. That’s how the system works.
